As a result of our National Expansion Initiative, MainStreetChamber™ is seeking qualified professionals throughout the state of Minnesota who share our vision of revitalizing small businesses and want to take advantage of the tremendous opportunities available through MainStreetChamber™.
If you are looking for an opportunity where you can leverage your past experience and achievements to make a big difference, you’ve come to the right door. Regardless of the role, being associated with the Chamber opens doors for you that would otherwise be closed.
In Phase One of our Minnesota Expansion, we are looking for individuals to fill leadership roles for the major population centers throughout the state:
- Minneapolis [filled]
- St. Paul [filled]
- Rochester [available]
- Duluth [available]
- St. Cloud [filled]
- Mankato [filled]
We are seeking individuals for two types of leadership roles within each of the targeted markets above; Chapter Owner/Presidents and Chapter Ambassadors. However, if a qualified candidate for the role of chapter owner/President wishes to establish a MainStreetChamber™ chapter in a more remote area, let us know.
Chapter Owner/President – This is a very prestigious role within the small business community. As a MainStreetChamber™ chapter President, you will be seen as a trusted leader in the small business community and will find that certain doors will open to you that would otherwise be closed. As a champion for small business and the community, you will be welcome when you call on small business owners. Consequently, you will enjoy the rewards of making new contacts, strengthening relationships and accessing a wealth of information and resources.
In this role, your major responsibilities include growing our member community, planning and coordinating events that stimulate and promote business for members, securing event sponsors and advertisers and ensuring the overall success of the chapter. Although skilled business leaders will find that the role will not take up all of their time (mostly during non-business hours, leaving plenty of time to run another business), the compensation can be very lucrative. Those who are interested in this role and believe they are qualified should contact our State Director, Mike Clough at mike.clough@mainstreetchamber.org.

For every MainStreetChamber™ chapter that is established in the state, several Ambassadors will be needed to assist the chapter president with activities.
Chapter Ambassador – Chapter Ambassadors are members who volunteer their time to provide a crucial link between the Chamber and its members. In this role, you will help to ensure that all members receive the maximum benefit from their membership. As such, you will be seen as a trusted leader in the small business community and will find that certain doors will be open to you that otherwise would be closed. As a champion for the small business community, you will be welcome when you call on small business owners. Consequently, you will enjoy the rewards of making new contacts, strengthening relationships and accessing a wealth of information and resources. Chapter Ambassadors also receive a substantial discount on member advertising and sponsorship.
In this role, your primary responsibilities include recruiting and retaining new members, securing sponsors and assisting with chapter events. Active involvement in the community will help you execute your chapter responsibilities. Your chapter responsibilities will not take up much of your time (mostly during non-business hours), leaving you plenty of time to run a business.
Those who are interested in this role and believe they are qualified should contact our State Director, Mike Clough at mike.clough@mainstreetchamber.org. Or, they can contact the chapter closest to them by clicking the chapter link on the sidebar located on the right side of the page.
