Boosting Small Business Sales
November 10, 2010
This may come as a surprise to you, but most small businesses do not have an expense problem. Of course, all small business owners wish expenses were lower because that is one way for them to increase profits. And yet, most small business owners have already cut all the expenses they can and still operate. Even though managing expenses is one very important side of the coin, you can’t save your way to success and prosperity.
The real problem most small businesses have is the other side of the coin – the revenue side. Recognizing that some of the traditional marketing methods are less effective than they have been in the past, many small business owners have turned to social media and are seeing some increase in revenue. However, social media takes time to build and small business owners need to increase revenue today.
One of the main goals of MainStreetChamber is to help small business owners find ways to generate revenue. We accomplish this by making it possible for them to connect with other business people who are potential customers or referral partners. In addition, we offer strategies; products, services and tools that can help them grow their business.
Recently, I was introduced to an inexpensive, but very effective tool by one of our Ambassadors, Lisa Saline. After using it for a few weeks, I have totally fallen in love with it. In fact I was so impressed with it, that I contacted the CEO to secure a special offer for our MainStreetChamber™ members because I believe it can dramatically improve sales and revenue for small businesses.
Meet Jeffrey Gitomer’s Ace of Sales, which gives you the ability to make more sales, close more deals and build loyal relationships. Ace of Sales is an amazing tool for attracting, engaging, differentiating, thanking, staying in touch, and wowing your prospects and customers. Oh yeah, and it helps you make sales! At only $20/month, this web-based software has many of the features of software selling for five times the price and yet is so very easy to set-up and use.
Very simply, Ace of Sales allows you to send a very professional appearing branded email to one person or 500 that includes links to your social media communities. It gives you the ability to do all the things you need to do in order to make a sale such as:
- Schedule automatic follow ups to ensure that you achieve the “seven touches in any sale”.
- Create weekly or monthly ezines to stay top of mind with your prospects and customers.
- Track your emails and ezines so that you know when they are opened.
- Store customer information that you need to make the sale.
- Send custom designed and personalized post cards and greeting cards by mail.
If you are one of the few people who hasn’t heard of Jeffery Gitomer, he is today’s Zig Zigler, the world’s leading guru on sales and a recipient of the National Speakers Association’s CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame award. Gitomer’s award-winning books including, “The Sales Bible” and “The Little Red Book of Selling”, have been on over 500 best seller lists and have sold millions worldwide.
Special Note: Jeffrey Gitomer will be our guest speaker at our next free event on Dec 1 at the Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington (France & 494). We will be posting announcements soon. For details and registration, click here. Reserve your seats early as they will go quickly!
I could go on and on because I have really fallen in love with Ace of Sales. But, as they say, “seeing is believing”. Check out the video demo below.
Now, I want to be clear, Ace of Sales is not a replacement service for email services like Constant Contact. In fact, it compliments Constant Contact. Ace of sales is designed for one on one communication or with small groups while Constant Contact is designed for mass mailings and larger mail lists. Constant Contact offers certain features that Ace of Sales does not such as event marketing and customer/prospect surveys. However, Constant Contact doesn’t do you much good if you want to send a different email to every one with whom you are trying to communicate. I think of Constant Contact as a great marketing tool and Ace of Sales as a great sales tool. I recommend starting with Ace of Sales and adding Constant Contact when your list grows to a size appropriate for mass mailing.
I am not the only one who is impressed with Ace of Sales. There are many testimonials. In fact, several people here in town swear by it. You can watch one on the video below. If you already use Ace of Sales, please take a moment and share your thoughts in the comment section below.
